Submit a Beach for Clean Up
Did you know that there is roughly 165 million tons of plastic and garbage floating in our oceans? And it's not just straws and grocery bags. Fishing nets, fuel cans, and even tires make their way into the ocean. Some scientists estimate that by 2050, the oceans could have more plastic than fish. The Great Pacific Garbage patch is the largest plastic accumulation in the world. It is 1.6 million square kilometres, which is twice the size of Texas. Campus Point Coffee’s mission is to do more than just donate money to the cause. Inspired by innovators before us, we pay our employees as part of their regular duties to clean up beaches. Our ultimate goal is to own our own fleet of boats and employ a crew capable of making trips back and forth to the Garbage Patch to remove garbage from the ocean. Together, we can make an impact.
